                                          mal state.)

Common Causes

  • The fan is not installed properly.

  • Fan blades are blocked or have heavy dust.

Troubleshooting Procedure

  1. Check whether the fan is properly installed and whether fan blades are blocked by an obstacle or have heavy dust. If so, see The Indicator of a Fan Module Is Steady Red or Blinking to handle the problem.

  2. Run the upgrade fan command to upgrade the fan version. The following is an example:

    <HUAWEI> system-view
    [~HUAWEI] diagnose
    [~HUAWEI-diagnose] upgrade fan slot fan1

The fan is unusable within a short time during an upgrade.

  3. If the fault persists, use a new fan module.
