Configuration

Any of the following configurations are supported:

  • Two front 2.5-inch SAS/SATA HDDs, or SSDs and one standard half-height, half-length (HHHL) PCIe card
  • Four front 2.5-inch SATA/SAS HDDs or SSDs
  • Two front 2.5-inch SAS/SATA HDDs, or SSDs and two non-volatile memory express (NVMe) PCIe SSDs
  • Two built-in 3.5-inch SATA HDDs, which are not hot-swappable (SATADOMs are not supported.)
NOTE:
  • If NVMe PCIe SSDs are used, you must also install the NVMe PCIe SSD expansion card and backplane. The NVMe SSD slots can also hold SAS or SATA HDDs.
  • If SAS HDDs are used, you must also configure a RAID controller card.

The Server Node supports four 2.5-inch SAS/SATA HDDs or SSDs.

NOTE:

When SAS HDDs are configured, you must also configure a RAID controller card.

Any of the following configurations are supported:

  • Two front 2.5-inch SATA HDDs or SSDs
  • Two front standard HHHL PCIe cards
NOTE:
  • The front 2.5-inch hard disks can be directly attached to the SATA controller of the PCH or support SoftRAID management.
  • The front 2.5-inch hard disks cannot be managed by a RAID controller card.
