Logging In to the Real-Time Desktop


Log in to the Server Node in remote control mode by using the IBMC WebUI.



You have logged in to the iBMC WebUI over a network port. For details, see Logging In to the iBMC WebUI or CLI of the Server Node.


Data preparation is not required for this operation.


  1. On the menu bar of the iBMC WebUI, choose Remote.

    The Remote page is displayed, as shown in Figure 4-32.

  2. On the Remote page, click Remote Virtual Console (Shared Mode).

    The remote control screen is displayed, showing the real-time desktop of the server node. See Figure 4-33.

You can also click Remote Virtual Console (Private Mode) to access the real-time desktop of the server node. The difference between the two modes is as follows:

  • Remote Virtual Console (Shared Mode): allows two users to access and manage the server node at a time. One user can view the operations performed by the other user.
  • Remote Virtual Console (Private Mode): allows only one user to access and manage the server node at a time.
