Scenarios

Configure the number of threads and the IPMI, SNMP, SSH, and VMM protocols required when uMate is used.

Procedure

  1. Run the following command to go to the uMate-Linux-Vxxx/config directory.

    cd

    If no virtual medium is mounted or no operation is performed on the mounted virtual medium, the virtual media mounting service will be automatically stopped after this time period.

    The value 0 indicates that there is no timeout limit.

    Default value: 60

    • Enabling any insecure protocol listed in Table 4-30 may increase security risks. Secure protocols are preferred.
    • If both protocol_IPMI_LAN_RMCP_enabled and protocol_IPMI_LAN_RMCP+_enabled are set to 0 (disabled), uMate cannot access the server using IPMI commands and certain functions may be affected.
    • If both protocol_SNMP_MD5_enabled and protocol_SNMP_SHA_enabled are set to 0 (disabled), uMate cannot access the server using SNMPv3 commands and all SNMP functions may be affected.
    • If both protocol_SNMP_DES_enabled and protocol_SNMP_AES_enabled are set to 0 (disabled), uMate cannot access the server using SNMPv3 commands and certain functions may be affected.
    NOTE:

    The setting takes effect immediately.

  3. Enter a to go to the editing mode.
  4. Move the cursor by using the up and down arrow keys to modify configuration items. After the modification is complete, run the following command to save the modification and exit:

    :wq

    NOTE:

    If you need to cancel the saving and exit, enter :q or :q!.
