This topic describes how to check the operating status of the MX220.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the MX220.

    For details, see Logging In to the MX220 over a Serial Port and Logging In to the MX220 Using SSH.

  2. Run the following command on the MX220 CLI to check the current software version of the MX220:

    FC_SW:admin> version

    The command output is as follows:

    Ports 1 to 4 on the panel are activated by default, and ports 5 to 8 need to be activated with a license.

    NOTE:
    • The internal FC ports support the rates of 8 Gbit/s and 16 Gbit/s, and auto-negotiation.
    • The external FC ports support the rates of 4 Gbit/s, 8 Gbit/s, 16 Gbit/s, and auto-negotiation.
    • If an external port (such as port 2) is online and in F-Port mode, with the WWPN displayed, the corresponding device is successfully registered with the MX220.
    • If an internal port (such as port 20) is online and in F-Port mode, with the WWPN displayed, the corresponding HBA of a compute node is successfully registered with the MX220.
    • If an internal port (such as port 10) is disabled (persistent), the corresponding HBA of a compute node is not installed.
    • If certain external ports (such as ports 5 to 8) are in the "(No POD License) Disabled" state, the MX220 is a new version and ports 5 to 8 are disabled (no POD license imported).
