Restoring the MX220 Configuration File by Using Web Tools

Procedure

  1. Log in to the MX220.

    For details, see Logging In to the MX220 Using Web Tools.

  2. On the menu bar of the Web Tools, choose Configure > Switch Admin.

    The Switch Administration page is displayed.

  3. Choose Switch.

    The Switch page is displayed.

  4. Select Disable under Switch Status. Click Apply. In the displayed dialog box, click Yes to disable FC_SW.
  5. Click Show Advanced Mode to enter the advanced configuration mode.
  6. Choose Configure > Upload/Download.

    The Upload/Download page is displayed.

  7. Set the parameters as prompted:

    • Select Config Download to Switch.
    • Host IP or Host Name: specifies the address for storing logs on the target device, that is, the IP address of the SFTP server.
    • User Name: specifies the user name for logging in to the target device, that is, the SFTP server user name.
    • Password: specifies the password for logging in to the target device, that is, the SFTP server password.
    • Protocol Type: specifies the transfer protocol. Set it to SFTP.
    • Configuration File Name: specifies the configuration file name, which is in the .txt format. In this example, the value is switchConfig.txt.

  8. Click Apply. In the displayed dialog box, click Yes.

    The configuration file is exported successfully if ConfigDownload completed successfuly. is displayed. The configuration takes effect immediately.

  9. Select Switch.
  10. Select Enable under Switch Status. Click Apply. In the displayed dialog box, click Yes to enable FC_SW.
