Synchronizing a Remote Replication

In the scenario where a remote replication has completed the initial synchronization and then a host writes the primary resource or splits the remote replication, there will be data inconsistency between the primary resource and the secondary resource. In this case, you can synchronize data to ensure data consistency.


The Pair Running Status of the remote replication determines whether data synchronization can be performed for the remote replication, as shown in Table 3-12.

  1. Go to the remote replication management page.
    1. On the right navigation bar, click .
    2. In the left function pane, click Remote Replication.
    3. Click the Remote Replication tab.

      The remote replication management page is displayed.

  2. Synchronize a remote replication.
    1. Right-click the remote replication you want to synchronize and choose Synchronize.

      The Danger dialog box is displayed.

  3. Confirm the remote replication synchronization.
    1. Confirm the information in the dialog box. Select I have read and understood the consequences associated with performing this operation. and click OK.

      The Success dialog box is displayed, indicating that the operation succeeded.

    2. Click OK.
