Enterprise Offices
Service Requirements
An office is a place where enterprise employees work. The office scenario has the following characteristics:
- The overall office structures are similar and the space is small.
- Beautifully-designed and concealed antennas are required to balance the capacity and cost.
- The concurrency rate is low, and the bandwidth required by users is generally less than 2 Mbit/s.
Generally, enterprises have the following service requirements for the office network:
Access requirements
The network provides wireless access.
Devices in offices must be easy to deploy and are stylishly designed.
The wireless coverage must be even and have no coverage holes.
Wireless roaming requirements
Terminals can be moved between different areas and rooms.
The authentication process needs to be simplified when users re-access the wireless network after roaming between different places.
Multi-layer networks, fast switchover, low latency, and uninterrupted services are required.
Reliability requirements
When a single device on the network fails, network reliability must be ensured.
Security requirements
The wireless network needs to be protected against access from unauthorized devices, packet attacks, and Layer 2 communication to ensure network security.
Wireless devices (such as APs) need to provide the anti-theft function.
Authentication and accounting requirements
Employees use user names and passwords to access the network. Most guests access the network through Portal authentication on the pushed enterprise home page.
Different authentication modes are used when users access internal and external networks.
