Applying for a Commercial License After ESN Change

When the ESN is changed because an auxiliary, such as a network adapter, is changed on the eSight server, eSight displays a message indicating that the license is invalid and enters a 60-day protection period.

In this case, obtain the current ESN of the server (by referring to Obtaining an ESN from eSight) to obtain a new commercial license file from the ESDP.


  1. Obtain the revocation code of the license file used by eSight (by referring to Obtaining a Revocation Code).


    If you cannot obtain a revocation code, contact Huawei technical support and provide the original and new ESNs to obtain a new license file. You can obtain the original ESN from the original license file.

  2. Log in to the ESDP ( and choose License Commissioning and Maintenance > ESN Change.
  3. Enter the revocation code, and click Validate Revocation Code.

    After the revocation code is verified, the system displays the device information of the original ESN.

  4. Enter the new ESN and click Save. In the dialog box that is displayed, click OK.
  5. Choose My Task > Operation Record and view the ESN change task. You can click Search & Refresh to update the task status. If the task status is displayed as Success, click the download link in the Operation column to download the license file or .zip package that contains multiple license files to a local path.
