Applying for a Temporary License in Case of Onsite Commissioning

After Huawei wins a bid, customers require functional tests to verify their needs, but the trial license cannot meet the test requirements. In this context, you can apply for a temporary license on the ESDP.

This license application must be approved by the direct supervisor and regional product manager of enterprise business. The validity period of a temporary license used for commissioning is 180 days.

Note that this license cannot be used on a commercial network.


  1. Log in to the ESDP (

    Enterprise GTS: Choose Enterprise Temporary License > Pre-sale Expansion License Application.

    Carrier GTS: Choose Fixed-term License > Apply Fix-term License > Exhibition.

  2. Enter information such as the product version, customer, direct supervisor, and application reason.

  3. Configure part information, enter the ESN (obtained based on Obtaining an ESN from eSight), and click Add Equipment. If multiple ESNs exist, separate them with commas (,). After confirming the information, click Approve.

    The My Task > My Application page is displayed. You can view the current handler and process status.

  4. After the process is approved, download the license file on the My Task > Operation Record page.
