Deleting a Remote Replication

Deleting a Remote Replication

This operation enables you to delete a remote replication. After a remote replication is deleted, the replication relationship between the primary LUN and the secondary LUN is deleted, and data on the primary LUN will no longer be copied to the secondary LUN.

Prerequisites

  • The remote replication to be deleted is not added to a consistency group.
  • Based on Pair Running Status of the remote replication, determine whether the remote replication can be delete, as shown in Table 4-21.

    Note: When a remote replication session is interrupted and you want to delete its information, you must log in to the primary and secondary storage systems to delete all information about this remote replication session.

Procedure

  1. Go to the remote replication management page.
    1. On the right navigation bar, click .
    2. In the left function pane, click Remote Replication.
    3. Click the Remote Replication tab.

      The remote replication management page is displayed.

  2. Delete a remote replication.

    Right-click the remote replication you want to delete and choose Delete. The security alert dialog box is displayed.

  3. Confirm the remote replication deletion.
    1. Confirm the information in the dialog box. Select I have read and understood the consequences associated with performing this operation. and click OK.

      The Execution Result dialog box is displayed.

    2. Click Close to complete deleting the remote replication.
