Abstract

When the AR2240 is powered on, the AR2240 restarts frequently. As a result, services are interrupted.

Problem Description

Downstream users connected to the AR2240 used as the egress gateway cannot connect to the Internet. Use the login tool to log in to the AR2240. The AR2240 restarts frequently.

Handling Process

  1. Check system software in the flash memory.

    1. Use the console port to connect to the AR. During device startup, when the following message is displayed, press Ctrl+B within 3s to enter the BootROM menu and select 5 to enter the File Menu.

    2. There is no system software in the flash memory. Through confirmation, the system software is stored in the SD card.

  2. No SD card is queried. The SD card is manually removed. Consequently, there is no system software. Purchase the SD card and install it on the AR. In the BootROM menu, upload the system software to the SD card in FTP mode.
  3. Specify the file as the system software. Then the AR can be started and services are restored.

    1. Select 4 in the BootROM menu to enter the Startup Select menu.

       NOTE: Boot file must be .cc or .CC

    3. Select 0 to return to the Startup Select menu, select 0 to return to the BootROM menu, and select 1 to start the AR. The AR can be successfully started.

Suggestions
