How Do I Restart the 3G Module of the Router?

How Do I Restart the 3G Module of the Router?

Procedure

  • The 3G module restarts automatically when it detects an exception. If the 3G module cannot restart automatically, restart it manually. The procedure of restarting the 3G module manually is as follows:
    <Huawei> system-view
    [Huawei] interface cellular 0/0/0
    [Huawei-Cellular0/0/0] modem reboot
Warning: The 3G/LTE module will reboot. Continue? [Y/N]:y

  • If the 3G module is not attached to a Packet Switch (PS) domain, you can configure the 3G module to automatically restart and set the interval at which the 3G module automatically restarts. The 3G module then automatically restarts and starts dialing until it is attached to a PS domain. The procedure of configuring the 3G module to automatically restart is as follows:
    <Huawei> system-view
    [Huawei] interface cellular 0/0/0
    [Huawei-Cellular0/0/0] packet-service recover 200
  • When the dial-up on a 3G cellular interface fails for several consecutive times, you can set the maximum number of dial-up failures. When the number of consecutive dial-up failures reaches the maximum value, the router restarts the 3G module for automatic fault recovery. The procedure is as follows:
    <Huawei> system-view
    [Huawei] interface cellular 0/0/0
    [Huawei-Cellular0/0/0] modem auto-recovery dial action modem-reboot fail-times 5
