Which E1/T1 Cards and Cables Does the Router Support?

E1/T1 cards are classified into channelized and fractional channelized cards. Both types of cards provide physical interfaces for the E1/T1 system. The following table lists the E1/T1 cards supported by the AR. You can choose appropriate E1/T1 cards based on the required number of interfaces and connector type.

NOTE:

AR650&AR1600 series do not support E1/T1 cards and cables.

Timeslots of an E1/T1 interface can only be bundled into a channel and the other timeslots are idle. The channel works at the rate of n x 64 kbit/s and the number of n ranges from 1 to 31.

The 31 timeslots of an E1/T1 interface can be randomly bundled into multiple channels.
