How Many Users Does an AR Router Support?

  • Table 29-68 lists the maximum number of online users supported by an AR router when it serves as an AC and works together with Fit APs to provide the WLAN access service for users.

    The AR530 series do not support WLAN AC function.

In actual application scenarios, if a large number of users connect to a wireless network, user experience is degraded. The recommended maximum number of online active users is 32. If the number of online users exceeds 32, Internet access experience of users is degraded.
  • Maximum number of online users: indicates the maximum number of users who can connect to the wireless network, including active and inactive users.

  • Number of active users: indicates the number of users who are using wireless Internet access services. Active users generate Internet access traffic.

  • Number of inactive users: indicates the number of users who maintain wireless network connections but do not use Internet access services. Inactive users do not generate Internet access traffic.
