DSP Cannot Work Properly

DSP Cannot Work Properly

This section provides a case that the DSP cannot work properly.

Fault Description

After the voice service is configured on the AR, the AR plays the busy tone but not the dial tone.

Possible Cause

  • No DSP DIMM is installed on the AR or the DSP DIMM is not properly installed.
  • The AR has not loaded a voice service license.

Troubleshooting Procedure

  1. Power off the AR, install a DSP DIMM on the AR, and then restart the AR.

    NOTE:
    • On the AR1220, run the display voice dsp state 0/0 command in the voice view to check the DSP DIMM status.
    • On the AR2220, AR2240, or AR3260, run the display voice dsp-dimm state 0/0  command in the voice view to check the DSP DIMM status. In the command, the first 0 is the slot ID of the AR2220's SRU or needs to be changed to the actual slot ID on the AR2240 or AR3260. The second 0 is the DSP slot ID on the AR2220. You can run the display device command in the system view to check the actual slot ID on the AR2240 or AR3260.

  2. If you have purchased the voice license, access the AR through FTP and load the license file to the AR.

    1. Access the AR through FTP.
To log in to the AR from a terminal using FTP, use Windows CLI or third-party software. Windows CLI is used as an example here.
      • Run the ftp ip-address command to log in to the AR through FTP.

The IP address you enter here must be the same as that configured on the AR. Ensure that there is a reachable route between the terminal and AR.

      • Enter the user name and password as prompted, and press Enter. When the command line prompt of the FTP client view, such as ftp>, is displayed, you access the working directory of the FTP server. (The following information is for your reference only.)
        C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator> ftp 192.168.150.208
        Connected to 192.168.150.208.
        220 FTP service ready.
        User(192.168.150.208:(none)):huawei
        331 Password required for huawei.
        Password:
        230 User logged in.
        ftp
    2. Run the FTP commands to manage files.

After accessing the FTP server, you can run FTP commands to perform operations such as directory and file operations, file transfer setting, and query of online help of FTP commands according to Table 12-2.

      NOTE:

Operation permissions are limited by permission settings on the server.

The following operations are not listed in sequence. You can perform one or more of these operations as required.
