This section provides a case that an interface on the SA card cannot go Up.

Fault Symptom

The physical interface and protocol status of the SA card cannot go Up.

Possible Causes

The clock phases of two devices connected by the interface of the SA card are inconsistent.

Troubleshooting Procedure

  1. When the remote device does not receive signals, run the following command to configure the device to invert clock signals sent by a synchronous serial interface:

    [Huawei-Serial1/0/0]invert transmit-clock

  2. When the local device does not receive signals, run the following command to configure the device to invert clock signals received by a synchronous serial interface:

    [Huawei-Serial1/0/0]invert receive-clock
    NOTE:
    • Clock signals transmitted by a synchronous serial interface can be inverted only when the AR3200 functions as a DTE.
    • Performing the preceding operations can solve most problems of the interface on the SA card not in Up state.
