Specifications

This example applies to all AR models of ARV200R006C10 and later versions.

Networking Requirements

The router is deployed at the egress of the enterprise network, and enterprise users access the Internet through the router, as shown in Figure 11-1.

Basic QoS functions need to be configured to limit the outbound bandwidth to 2000 kbit/s and allocate different percentages of bandwidth to different services, as shown in Table 11-1.

Procedure

  1. Configure WAN-side interface bandwidth.

    1. Choose Configuration Wizard > QoS Configuration Wizard, as shown in Figure 11-2.

    2. Set parameters to configure WAN-side interface rate limiting, as shown in Figure 11-3. After the configuration is complete, click Next.

  2. Configure WAN-side interface bandwidth.

    Configure bandwidth for each class, as shown in Figure 11-4. The class refers to the DSCP value and is used to differentiate priorities of data packets. The bandwidth cannot be empty and the sum of the bandwidth cannot exceed 99% of the rate limit. At least 1% of the bandwidth is allocated to the default flow queue. After the configuration is complete, click Next.

  3. Confirm the configuration.

    You can see that the outbound interface of GE3/0/0 is 2000 kbit/s and each service is allocated bandwidth as required, as shown in Figure 11-5. Click Finish.
