This example applies to all versions and AR routers.


If the device does not support deep security or deep security is not enabled, some security logs are not visible.

Networking Requirements

As shown in Figure 1-10, the Router connects to the IP network through Eth1/0/0, and there are reachable routes between the Router and log host.

You can configure the Router to output logs to the log host so that users can view logs saved on the log host to monitor device running.

  1. Choose System Management > Log Management > Configure Logs. as shown in Figure 1-11.

  2. Click Create in the Log Host Configuration area.
  3. As shown in Figure 1-12. Enter the IP address of the log server in the Create A Log Host dialog box.

  4. Click OK.The created log host is displayed in the Log Host Configuration area. You can add a maximum of eight log hosts by repeating the preceding operations.
  5. Configure the log host. The configuration details are not mentioned here.

    The log host can run the Unix or Linux operating system or run a third party's log software.
