This document describes the features, appearance, and technical specifications of the 5288 V3 server, and how to install, power on, and power off the 5288 V3 server, connect cables, and install an operating system (OS) for it.

Removing an SD Card

Removing an SD Card

Remove a Secure Digital (SD) card before replacing it with a new one.


  1. Wear an ESD wrist strap. For details, see Safety Instructions.
  2. Determine the rack number and chassis number of the server to be removed, and label its panel to prevent misoperations.
  3. Power off the 5288 V3. For details, see Powering Off the Server.
  4. Remove all external cables such as power and network cables.
  5. Remove the 5288 V3 and put it on an ESD desktop. For details, see Removing the Server.
  6. Remove the chassis cover. For details, see Removing the Chassis Cover.
  7. Remove the PCIe card from the mainboard. For details, see Removing a PCIe Card from the Mainboard.
  8. Determine the position of the SD card to be removed. See Figure 7-98.SD card 1 is above the SD card mezzanine card, and SD card 2 is below the SD card mezzanine card.

  9. If the SD2 card needs to be removed, remove the mezzanine SD card first; otherwise, go to Step 10.

    1. Loosen the two screws. See step (1) in Figure 7-99.

    2. Lift the mezzanine card till its connector is disconnected from the mainboard. See step (2) in Figure 7-99.

  10. Press the SD card in the arrow direction. See step (1) in Figure 7-100.

  11. Remove the SD card from the mezzanine card. See step (2) in Figure 7-100.
  12. Place the removed SD card in an ESD bag.
