Installing the Chassis Cover

Install the chassis cover after components in the 5288 V3 chassis are replaced.


  1. Wear an ESD wrist strap. For details, see Safety Instructions.
  2. Place the chassis cover horizontally, align it with the fixing slots on both side panels of the chassis, and close the handle. See steps (1) and (2) in Figure 7-24.

  3. Tighten the latch using a flat-head screwdriver to secure the handle. See step (3) in Figure 7-24.
  4. Install the 5288 V3. For details, see Installing the Server.
  5. Connect all internal cables such as power and network cables. For details, see Connecting External Cables.
  6. Power on the 5288 V3. For details, see Powering On the Server.
