Update the iBMC language packs.

  • Only iBMC 2.56 and later versions allows users to install and uninstall language packs.
  • Only administrators and users with common setting permissions have the rights to install and uninstall language packs.
  • The English and Chinese language packs cannot be uninstalled.

You have logged in to the iBMC WebUI. For details, see Logging In to the iBMC WebUI.


Data preparation is not required for this operation.


You have obtained XXX-iBMC-LANG-XX-Vxxx.hpm. For details, see Obtaining the Upgrade Packages and Documents.


  1. Update the iBMC WebUI language packs.

    1. Choose System on the main menu, as indicated by (1) in Figure 5-1.
    2. In the navigation tree, choose Upgrade Firmware, as indicated by (2) in Figure 5-1.

    3. In the Upgrade Firmware area, click, as indicated by (3) in Figure 5-1.

      The Browse window is displayed.

    4. Select XXX-iBMC-LANG-XX-Vxxx.hpm from a local folder.
    5. Click Open.

      The language pack is selected, and the Upgrade Firmware page is displayed.

    6. Click Upgrade, as indicated by (4) in Figure 5-1.

      The Start Upgrade dialog box is displayed.

    7. Click OK.

      The iBMC then starts the update.

      The language pack update takes about 2 minutes.

      The language pack update is complete when the progress reaches 100%.

  2. After the update is complete, you can change the language of the iBMC WebUI to the language selected in the upper right corner of the page.
