Conventional License Control Items
The license control items provided in this section are for reference only. To obtain the latest ordering information, contact Huawei WLAN distributors or Huawei local office.
The maximum number of APs allowed to be managed by different AC models is different. For details, log in to Huawei official website and download the brochure of the corresponding AC model, or query the specifications using Info-Finder.
The AC license takes effect after being bound to the ESN. After the AC license is unbound from the ESN, the AC license can be migrated to another AC of the same model but cannot be migrated to an AC of a different model. From V200R020C00, licenses of AirEngine series ACs can be migrated between different models of the same series, including AirEngine 9700 series and AirEngine 9700S series. For example, the licenses of the AirEngine 9700-M and AirEngine 9700-M1 in the AirEngine 9700 series can be used interchangeably, and those of the AirEngine 9700S-S and new models in the AirEngine 9700S series can be used interchangeably.

When a function has multiple resource licenses, you can purchase multiple resource licenses to use accumulated resources. For license resource item accumulation, see How Are License Resource Items Accumulated.
- The RUs managed by the AC do not occupy the AC's license resources. However, the total number of managed common APs and RUs cannot exceed the upper limit allowed by the AC.
Each AC6800V must load a license for basic software functions. If no such license is loaded, WLAN functions of the AC6800V cannot be used. The license for basic software functions does not support backup.
