Installing an RTU License
Prerequisites
For RTU licenses that are operated on a WLAN AC and take effect for Fit APs:
- The AC version is V200R019C10 or later, or V600R023C00 or later.
- You have logged in to the WLAN AC.
- You have obtained a license file. The RTU license file is a .zip package and does not need to be decompressed.
For RTU licenses that are operated and take effect on a Fat AP:
- The Fat AP version is V200R019C10 or later.
- You have logged in to the WLAN AP.
- You have obtained a license file. The RTU license file is a .zip package and does not need to be decompressed.
For RTU licenses that are operated on iMaster NCE-Campus and take effect for cloud APs:
- You have logged in to iMaster NCE-Campus.
- You have obtained a license file. The RTU license file is a .zip package and needs to be decompressed. License files support batch uploading.
Installing RTU Licenses for Fit APs Using the Web System of an AC
V200:
- Choose
- Choose Restart All RTU Inactive APs. The license takes effect after the AP is restarted.
- Choose RTU license state. and click a specific AP to check
V600:
This operation is not supported currently.
Installing RTU Licenses for Fit APs Using the AC CLI
- Upload a license file to the root directory of the storage medium on the device. For details, see Installing Licenses.
- Run the system-view command to enter the system view.
- Run the wlan command to enter the WLAN view.
- Run the ap rtu load filename filename command to decompress the RTU license package and automatically deliver the license files to APs.
- Run the ap-reset wait-rtu-validate command to restart the APs loaded with RTU licenses.
- Run the display ap-rtu-status all command to check the RTU license loading status of all APs.
Installing an RTU License Using the Web System of a Fat AP
- Choose Apply. Restart the AP to make the RTU license take effect.
Installing an RTU License Using the CLI of a Fat AP
- Upload a license file to the root directory of the storage medium on the device. For details, see Installing Licenses.
- Run the system-view command to enter the system view.
- Run the wlan command to enter the WLAN view.
- Run the ap rtu load filename filename command to decompress the license file and automatically load the license file.
- Run the ap-reset wait-rtu-validate command to restart the APs loaded with RTU licenses.
- Run the display ap-rtu-status all command to check the RTU license loading status of all APs.
Installing an RTU License for a Cloud AP on iMaster NCE-Campus
- Choose File to upload.
- Choose Active. After the license is activated, restart the device for the license to take effect.
Follow-up Procedure
If the license file cannot be activated, rectify the fault by referring to License Fails to Be Activated.
