This operation allows you to modify the general properties of a mirror copy.

Prerequisites

At least one HyperMirror and mirror copy have been created.

Procedure

  1. Log in to DeviceManager.
  2. Choose Data Protection > HyperMirror.
  3. Go to the Properties of Mirror Copy dialog box.
    1. In the left information pane, select a HyperMirror whose properties that you want to modify.
    2. In the lower function pane, select the mirror copy and click Properties.

The Properties of Mirror Copy dialog box is displayed.

    Description

    Value

    Speed

Possible values of synchronization speed for a mirror copy include:
    • Low: When the speed is set to low, remote replication will take a long time. This value is applicable to scenarios where the service load is heavy. The speed does not exceed 5 MB/s.
    • Medium: When the speed is set to medium, remote replication will take relatively short period. This value is applicable to scenarios where the service load is relatively heavy. The speed does not exceed 20 MB/s.
    • High: When the speed is set to high, remote replication will take a short period. This value is applicable to scenarios where the service load is relatively light. The speed does not exceed 70 MB/s.
    • Highest: When the speed is set to highest, remote replication will be complete in the shortest period. This value is applicable to scenarios where the service load is light. The speed does not have an upper limit and depends on the maximum read and write capabilities of the system.
