change hyper_metro_consistency_group general


The change hyper_metro_consistency_group general command is used to modify the information about a HyperMetro consistency group.


change hyper_metro_consistency_group general consistency_group_id=? { synchronization_rate=? | name=? | recovery_policy=? | description=? | isolation_switch=? | isolation_threshold=? } *





consistency_group_id=? ID of the HyperMetro consistency group.

Run the "show hyper_metro_consistency_group general" command without parameters to obtain the value.

isolation_threshold=? Isolation threshold.

The value ranges from 10ms to 30s.The default value is "1s".

isolation_switch=? Isolation switch.

The value is "open" or "close", where:

  • "open":turns on the isolation switch. After the isolation switch is turned on, the system will suspend the HyperMetro pair in the consistency group if the difference between the write I/O latency of the two storage arrays is greater than the "isolation threshold". The storage array with the longer write I/O latency will stop providing services.
  • "close":turns off the isolation switch.
synchronization_rate=? Synchronization rate.

The value is "Low", "Middle", "High", or "Highest", where:

  • "Low": low rate.
  • "Middle": medium rate.
  • "High": high rate.
  • "Highest": the highest rate.
name=? Name of the consistency group.

The value contains 1 to 31 ASCII characters including digits, letters, underscores (_), hyphens (-), and periods (.), can only start with a digit or a letter.

recovery_policy=? Recovery policy.

The value is "automatic" or "manual", where:

  • "automatic":automatic recovery policy. Data will be automatically synchronized after faults are rectified.
  • "manual": manual recovery policy. Data needs to be manually synchronized after faults are rectified.
description=? Description of the HyperMetro consistency group.

The value contains 1 to 127 characters.



Usage Guidelines



  • Change the synchronization rate of HyperMetro consistency group 1 to "Low".

    admin:/>change hyper_metro_consistency_group general consistency_group_id=1 synchronization_rate=Low
    Command executed successfully.
  • Change the synchronization rate of HyperMetro consistency group 1 to "Highest".

    admin:/>change hyper_metro_consistency_group general consistency_group_id=1 synchronization_rate=Highest
    WARNING: You are about to select the "Highest" speed for synchronization.
    After the operation, the Hyper Metro pair will be synchronized at the highest speed, which may cause overloaded services and disconnection of HyperMetro pairs.
    Suggestion: Select the "High" speed. If you select the "Highest" speed, check the performance of the data receiving end and whether the link bandwidth between local and remote arrays is sufficient to prevent the disconnection of HyperMetro pairs during synchronization.
