delete disk_domain


The delete disk_domain command is used to delete a disk domain.


delete disk_domain disk_domain_id=? [ disk_erase=? ]





disk_domain_id=? ID of a disk domain that you want to delete.

To obtain the value, run "show disk_domain general".

disk_erase=? The optional parameter indicates whether to replace the data encryption key (DEK) of user data partition band0 on a self-encrypting disk. If the DEK is replaced, data in band0 cannot be decrypted, destroying the data.

The value can be "yes","no",where:

  • "yes": to erase the encrypted disk data.
  • "no": to disable encrypted disk data distruption.
The default value is "no".



Usage Guidelines



  • Delete disk domain "2".

    admin:/>delete disk_domain disk_domain_id=2
    CAUTION: You are about to delete disk domain.
    Suggestion: Before performing this operation, ensure that the selected disk domain is correct.
    Do you wish to continue?(y/n)y
    Command executed successfully.
  • Delete disk domain "2", erase encrypted disk data.

    admin:/>delete disk_domain disk_domain_id=2 disk_erase=yes
    DANGER: You are about to delete disk domain and erase the encrypted disk data. This operation will erase the data of the encrypted disks in the disk_domain. The erased data cannot be recovered.
    Suggestion: Before performing this operation, ensure that the selected disk domain is correct.
    Have you read the danger alert message carefully?(y/n)y
    Are you sure you really want to perform the operation?(y/n)y
    Command executed successfully.
