change port eth

Function

The change port eth command is used to configure the maximum transmission unit (MTU) of Ethernet ports (including host ports and management network ports).

Format

change port eth eth_port_id=? mtu=? [ is_host_port=? ]

Parameters

eth_port_id=? ID of a port.

To obtain the value, run "show port general".

mtu=? Size of the largest packet that can be transmitted on a certain layer of a protocol.

The value ranges from 1280 to 9000, expressed in bytes.

is_host_port=? Whether the port is a host port. This parameter is valid for a S2600T only. When the value is set to "yes", you can set the management port H4 or the maintenance port H5 as a host port.

The value can be "on" or "off", where:

  • "yes": The port is a host port.
  • "no": The port is not a host port.
The default value is "no".

Example

Set the MTU of the Ethernet port whose ID is "ENG0.A1.P0" to "1600". The ID and output vary depending on a specific product.
