Function

The create share cifs command is used to create a CIFS share.

create share cifs name=? local_path=? [ continue_available_enabled=? ] [ oplock_enabled=? ] [ notify_enabled=? ] [ file_system_id=? ] [ offline_file_mode=? ] [ smb2_ca_enable=? ] [ ip_control_enabled=? ] [ file_filter_enable=? ] [ apply_default_acl=? ]

Value

name=? CIFS share name.

The value consists of 1 to 80 characters excluding "/\[]:|<>+;,?*=.

local_path=? Local path.

The value consists of 1 to 1023 characters.

oplock_enabled=? Switch of opportunistic locking. By using opportunistic locking, a client can lock a file. A server can cancel the locking.

The value can be "yes" or "no", where:

  • "yes" : The oplock function will be enabled.
  • "no" : The oplock function will be disabled.
The default value is "yes".
notify_enabled=? Switch of the Notify function.

The value can be "yes" or "no", where

  • "yes" : The Notify function will be enabled.
  • "no" : The Notify function will be disabled.
The default value is "yes".
file_system_id=? ID of the file system to which the CIFS belongs.

The value is an integer between 0 and 65535. Run "show file_sytem general" to obtain the value.

continue_available_enabled=? Switch of the continue_available function.

The value can be "yes" or "no", where:

  • "yes": The continue_available function will be enabled.
  • "no": The continue_available function will not be enabled.
The default value is "yes".
smb2_ca_enabled=? Switch of the SMB2 failover function.

The value can be "yes" or "no", where:

  • yes: The smb2_ca_enable function will be enabled.
  • no: The smb2_ca_enable function will not be enabled.
The default value is "yes".
offline_file_mode=? Offline cache mode.

The value can be "none", "manual", "documents", or "programs", where:

  • "none": disabled
  • "manual"": manual mode
  • "documents": documents mode
  • "programs": programs mode
The default value is "manual".
ip_control_enabled=? Switch of IP address access control.

The value can be "yes" or "no", where:

  • yes: The IP address access control function will be enabled.
  • "no": The IP address access control function will be disabled.
The default value is "no".
file_filter_enable=? Switch of filtering file name extensions.

The value can be "yes" or "no", where:

  • "yes": The file name extension filtering function will be enabled.
  • "no": The file name extension filtering function will not be enabled.
The default value is "no".
apply_default_acl=? Application of the default ACL switch in the shared root directory.

The value can be "yes" or "no", where:

  • "yes": The default ACL function will be enabled.
  • "no": The default ACL function will not be enabled.
The default value is "yes".

Example

  • Create a CIFS share.

    admin:/>create share cifs name=cifs0 local_path=/fs001
    Command executed successfully.
  • Query the created CIFS share.

    admin:/>show share cifs
