Function

add lun_copy other_vendor_target command is used to add target logical unit numbers (LUNs) for a LUN copy, where the LUNs reside on third-party storage systems.

Format

add lun_copy other_vendor_target lun_copy_id=? target_lun_wwn=?

lun_copy_id=? ID of a LUN copy.

To obtain the value, run "show lun_copy general".

target_lun_wwn=? World Wide Name (WWN) of a target LUN, which uniquely specifies a third-party device.

To obtain the value, run "show remote_lun general".

Usage Guidelines

  • A taarget LUN can not be added to a LUN Copy which is in the state of copying or pause.
  • The data of a source LUN overwrites that of a target LUN upon the start of a LUN copy task.
  • Befoore running this command, ensure that the selected source and target LUNs are exactly the ones you want to use for a remote LUN copy task, and that no host is accessing the target LUN.
  • Diffferent LUN copies cannot share the same target LUN.

Example

To add a target LUN on a third-party storage system whose WWN is "60:02:2a:11:00:0b:81:68:00:02:93:94:00:00:00:11" to LUN copy "0":

admin:/>add lun_copy other_vendor_target lun_copy_id=0 target_lun_wwn=60:02:2a:11:00:0b:81:68:00:02:93:94:00:00:00:11
