Viewing Data Distribution in a Disk Domain

This operation enables you to view data distribution in a disk domain.


A disk domain has been created in the system.


  1. Log in to DeviceManager.
  2. Choose Provisioning > Disk Domain.
  3. Select the disk domain you want to view.
  4. Click Data Distribution Status.

    The Data Distribution Status page is displayed.

  5. View data distribution in a disk domain.

    • In the upper part, view the used capacity and the percentage of the used capacity in each tier.
    • In the lower part, you can select a storage tier tab to view the percentage of each disk's used capacity to its total capacity.
    • In the preceding figure, CTE N.M indicates a disk slot. The following two indicators show disk locations in a storage system:
      • CTE N.M indicates that the disk is in the slot M of controller enclosure N.
      • DAE N.M indicates that the disk is in the slot M of disk enclosure N.
    • The system refreshes disk capacity usage in each tier every 15 seconds. You can also click to manually refresh the information.
