Modifying the Properties of a Logical Port

This operation enables you to modify the properties of a logical port.

Procedure

  1. Log in to DeviceManager.
  2. Choose Provisioning > Port > Logical Ports.
  3. Modify the basic information of a logical port.
    1. Select a logical port and click Properties.

      The Logical Port Properties page is displayed.

    2. In the Logical Port Properties dialog box, configure related parameters.

      The related parameters are described in Table 4-21.

      Name

      Name of the logical port.

      The name must meet the following requirements so that the logical port is available to compatible applications:
      • The name must be unique.
      • The name can contain only letters, digits, underscores (_), periods (.), and hyphens (-).
      • The name contains 1 to 31 characters.

      IP Address Type

      IP address type of the logical port, IPv4 address or IPv6 address.

      If the primary port fails, its services will be taken over by an available port in the default or specified failover group.

      Failover Group

      Failover group name.
      NOTE:
      • If no failover group is specified, services on the failed primary port will be taken over by a port in the default failover group.
      • If a failover group is specified, services on the failed primary port will be taken over by a port in the specified failover group.

      IP Address Failover

      If IP address failover is enabled, services on the failed primary port will be taken over by an available port in the default or specified failover group. In the entire process, the service IP address remains unchanged.

      Failback Mode

      Mode in which services fail back to the primary port after the primary port is recovered. The mode can be manual or automatic.

  4. Click OK.
