Viewing NFS Share Information

Viewing NFS Share Information

You can view NFS share information to understand NFS share lists, clients, and share options.


An NFS share has been created.


  1. Log in to DeviceManager.
  2. Choose Provisioning > Share > NFS (Linux/UNIX/MAC).
  3. In NFS share list, view the NFS share information. Table 2-20 describes the related parameters.

    Path of the NFS share.


    ID of the NFS share.


    Description of the NFS share.

    Character Encoding

    Clients communicate with the storage system using codes. These codes apply to names and metadata of shared files, but do not change the codes of file data. Codes include:
    • UTF-8

      International code set

    • EUC-JP

      euc-j*[ ja ] code set

    • JIS

      JIS code set

    • S-JIS

      cp932*[ ja_jp.932 ] code set

  4. In NFS share list, select an NFS share. In Client Information, check the permission of the client for this NFS share. The related parameters are shown in Table 2-21.

    Parameter Name



    Name or service IP address of the NFS share client.


    Client type of the NFS share. Types include:
    • Host

      Applicable to the client in non-domain environment.

    • Network group

      Applicable to client in LDAP or NIS domain.

    Permission Level

    The permission for client to access the NFS share. The permissions include:
    • Read-only

      Only reading the files in the share is allowed.

    • Read-write

      Any operation is allowed.


    Client ID of the NFS share.
