OceanStor 5300 V3, 5500 V3, 5600 V3, 5800 V3, and 6800 V3 Storage System V300R003

Routine maintenance activities are the most common activities for the storage device, including powering on or off the storage device, managing users, modifying basic parameters of the storage device, and managing hardware components. This document applies to the system administrators who are responsible for carrying out routine maintenance activities, monitoring the storage device, and rectifying common device faults.

The OceanStor 5300 V3/5500 V3/5600 V3/5800 V3 storage system is Huawei mid-range storage. The OceanStor 6800 V3 storage system is Huawei mission-critical storage delivering higher performance, lower latency, and more robust scalability required in the age of cloud.

The storage system offers comprehensive and superb solutions by unifying file-based, block-based offerings and various protocols into a single product and using diverse efficiency boost mechanisms to provide industry-leading performance. Those solutions help customers maximize their return on investment (ROI) and meet the requirements of different application scenarios such as Online Transaction Processing (OLTP) and Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) of large databases, high-performance computing (HPC), digital media, Internet operation, centralized storage, backup, disaster recovery, and data migration.
