Activating a Snapshot

Activating a Snapshot

After an application-based snapshot is activated, a data duplicate of the application at the activation point in time is generated immediately.

  • At least one application-based snapshot has been created in the system.
  • Health Status of each LUN in the application-based snapshot is Normal.
  • Running Status of each LUN in the application-based snapshot is Inactive.
  • The storage pools where the LUNs reside have enough space to store snapshot data.
  • The used capacity of the storage pool does not exceed the threshold. Otherwise, snapshots will not be activated.
