Routine maintenance activities are the most common activities for the storage device, including powering on or off the storage device, managing users, modifying basic parameters of the storage device, and managing hardware components. This document applies to the system administrators who are responsible for carrying out routine maintenance activities, monitoring the storage device, and rectifying common device faults.

Testing Recipient Mobile Phone Numbers

This operation enables you to test an added recipient mobile phone number.

Prerequisites

  • You have logged in to the DeviceManager as an administrator that has permission. Only administrators and super administrators have permission.
  • SMS Modem is installed and connected with the device.
  • The SM notification function has been enabled.
  • Recipient mobile phone numbers have been added.

Procedure

  1. Log in to DeviceManager.
  2. Choose Settings > Alarm Settings > SM Notification.
  3. In the Recipient Settings area, select a recipient mobile phone number that you want to test and click Test.

Result

  • If the settings are correct, the mobile phone in the Recipient settings area can receive test messages.
  • If the settings are incorrect, the mobile phone cannot receive test messages. Reset the recipient mobile phone number.
