Enabling the Antivirus Service

Enabling the Antivirus Service

This section describes how to enable or disable the antivirus service.

  • An antivirus server has been configured and is working correctly.
  • A CIFS share whose share path is a root directory (/) exists.

If such a CIFS share does not exist, create one by choosing Provisioning > Share > CIFS (Windows/MAC).

An antivirus server accesses a file system with a scan authentication domain user or user group. To ensure the proper running of the antivirus function, go to Provisioning > User Authentication > Local Authentication User Group (group name: AntivirusGroup) and add domain users or user groups.

  1. Log in to DeviceManager.
  2. Choose Settings > Antivirus > Scan Service.
  3. Configure the antivirus service.
    1. Select Enable the antivirus service to enable the service.

Click Cleaning Record to clear historical scan records so that new records are generated.

    2. Optional: In the Configuration Parameter area, click View scan authorization users/user groups. In Local Authentication User Group, set the scan authorization users or user groups.
  4. Click Save.

The Execution Result dialog box is displayed indicating that the operation succeeded.

  5. Click Close.
