Routine maintenance activities are the most common activities for the storage device, including powering on or off the storage device, managing users, modifying basic parameters of the storage device, and managing hardware components. This document applies to the system administrators who are responsible for carrying out routine maintenance activities, monitoring the storage device, and rectifying common device faults.

Configuring Antivirus Domain Users

The antivirus server uses scan authentication users or user groups to access file systems to be scanned. To ensure the normal working of the antivirus function, the domain users on the antivirus server need to be added to the antivirus group on the storage system.


  • The storage system and antivirus server have been added to the AD domain.
  • AD domain users have been created on the AD domain server.


  1. Log in to DeviceManager.
  2. Choose Provisioning > User Authentication > Local Authentication User Group.
  3. Choose the local authentication user group named AntivirusGroup, and click Domain user tap in the following detailed information area.
  4. Click Add.

    The Add Domain User dialog box is displayed.

  5. In the dialog box, enter the AD domain user name created on the antivirus server according to the domain\\name format.
  6. Click OK.
