change snmp version


The change snmp version command is used to set the status of the SNMPv1 and SNMPv2c protocols. To ensure compatibility, the system still supprts SNMPv1 and SNMPv2c. To ensure data security, it is strongly recommended to use SNMPv3.


change snmp version v1v2c_switch=?





v1v2c_switch=? Indicates the protocol status.

The value can be On or Off.

  • On.
  • Off.



Usage Guidelines

  • By default, the SNMPv1 and SNMPv2c are Off.
  • By default, the SNMPv3 is On.


  • To set protocol SNMPv1 and SNMPv2c to Off, run the following command.

    admin:/>change snmp version v1v2c_switch=Off
    Command executed successfully.
  • To set protocol SNMPv1 and SNMPv2c to On, run the following command.

    admin:/>change snmp version v1v2c_switch=On
    CAUTION: You are about to enable SNMPv1 and SNMPv2c. But you are advised to use the secure SNMPv3 protocol only.
    Do you wish to continue?(y/n)y
    Command executed successfully.
