Function

The change service ftp command is used to modify the FTP configuration.

change service ftp { anonymous_access_switch=? | anonymous_max_connection=? | client_max_connection=? | max_connections=? | onymous_max_connection=? | running_status=? | idle_time=? | anonymous_homedir=? | fxp_enabled=? | buffer_size=? | anonymous_upload=? | client_charset=? | umask=? | ftps_model=? | ftp_enabled=? } *

anonymous_access_switch=? Anonymous user access switch.

The value can be "yes" or "no", where:

  • "yes": allows anonymous users to access the FTP.
  • "no": forbids anonymous users to access the FTP.
anonymous_max_connection=? Maximum number of connections of all anonymous users.

The value must be an integer from 1 to 128.

client_max_connection=? Maximum number of connections of a single client.

The value must be an integer from 1 to 32.

max_connections=? Maximum number of connections.

The value must be an integer from 1 to 192.

idle_time=? Idle period of connections.

The value must be an integer from 1 to 1440.

onymous_max_connection=? Maximum number of connections of each user.

The value must be an integer from 1 to 32.

running_status=? Running status of the FTP service.

The value can be "stop" or "running", where:

  • "stop": stops the FTP service.
  • "running": starts the FTP service.
anonymous_homedir=? Anonymous user working directory.

The value contains 1 to 1023 characters. The path consists of the file system name and the directory created by a user.

fxp_enabled=? Status of the FXP function.

The value can be "yes" or "no", where:

  • "yes": enables the FXP function.
  • "no": disables the FXP function.
buffer_size=? FTP cache size. This parameter is valid only in developer mode. For details about how to log in to developer mode, see Restricted Command Reference.

The value ranges from 8192 to 1048576 bytes.

anonymous_upload=? Upload permission switch for anonymous users.

The value can be "true" or "false", where:

  • "true": Upload is allowed.
  • "false": Upload is not allowed.
The default value is "true".
client_charset=? Coded character set of a client. This parameter takes effect only after the service is restarted.

The value can be "utf-8" or "gbk", where:

  • "utf-8": The client uses the UTF-8 code format.
  • "gbk": The client uses the gbk code format.
The default value is "utf-8".
umask=? Umask of files and directories. This parameter takes effect only after the service is restarted.

The umask format is 000:000. The part before the colon indicates the file umask, and the part behind the colon is the directory umask. Each part is an octal integer ranging from 000 to 777.

ftp_enabled=? FTP function switch in explicit FTPS mode.

The value is "yes" or "no", where:

  • "yes": enables the FTP function.
  • "no": disables the FTP function.
ftps_mode=? FTPS mode.

The value can be "explicit" or "implicit", where:

  • "explicit": explicit FTPS mode.
  • implicit: implicit FTPS mode.

To obtain the file system name, run the "show file_system general" command.

    WARNING:You are about to configure the FTP service. This operation may cause the following issues: 
    1. If the FTP service is enabled, this operation enables insecure FTP protocol for external access, which may cause user information to be intercepted and bring security risks to file data access. 
    2. If the FXP function is enabled, this operation enables direct data transmission between servers without the customer's intervention, which brings security risks. 
    3. If the FTP service is disabled, this operation makes the FTP service provided by the device unavailable. 
    Suggestion: 
    Before performing any of these three operations, ensure that each of them is needed.

  • Enable the implicit FTPS mode.

  • Enable the FTP function in the explicit FTPS mode.
