create fs_snapshot general


The create fs_snapshot general command is used to create a snapshot.


create fs_snapshot general name=? file_system_id_list=?





name=? Indicates the name of the snapshot you want to create.

The value consists of 1 to 127 ASCII characters including letters, numbers, and underscores (_).

file_system_id_list=? Indicates the ID of the file system for which you want to create a read-only snapshot.

To obtain the value, run "show file_system general".

You can specify multiple file system IDs separated by commas (,), or ID range separated by hyphens(-), such as: 0,5-8.



Usage Guidelines

  • Before performing this command, check whether the ID of the file system for which you want to create a snapshot is correct.
  • Before performing this command, check whether the name of the snapshot you want to create exists and is correct.
  • Multiple file systems can create a snapshot with the same name. Separate the IDs of the file systems with comma (,).


To create snapshot snap1, run the following command:

admin:/>create fs_snapshot general name=snap1 file_system_id_list=0
Create snapshot of file system 0 successfully.
