add remote_device link iscsi


The add remote_device link iscsi command is used to add Internet Small Computer System Interface (iSCSI) links. Run this command to connect the storage system to a remote device through iSCSI links.


add remote_device link iscsi remote_device_id=? local_controller=? local_port_id=? ip=? [ recovery_policy=? ]





remote_device_id=? ID of a remote device.

To obtain the value, run "show remote_device general".

local_controller=? ID of a local controller to which a link routes.

The value is in the format of "XA", "XB", "XC" or "XD", where the "X" is an integer such as 0, 1.

local_port_id=? ID of an iSCSI host port.

To obtain the value, run "show port general".

ip=? IP address of a remote device.


recovery_policy=? A link recovery policy.

The value can be:

  • "automatic": indicates automatic recovery.
  • "manual": indicates manual recovery.
The default value is "automatic".



Usage Guidelines



To add an iSCSI link for remote device "0", where the local controller is controller "0A", the ID of the employed port is "ENG0.A4.P0", and the IP address of the remote device is "", run the following command. The ID and output vary depending on a specific product.
