Function

The change snmp port command is used to change the listening port of the SNMP service.

Format

change snmp port port_number=?

Parameters

port_number=? Listening port of the SNMP service.

Values range: 161 and an integer from 20000 to 20100.

Usage Guidelines

  • After the listening port is successfully configured for the SNMP service, the SNMP service in the system will restart and use the newly configured listening port.
  • Before performing this operation, disconnect the network management software from the SNMP service. After the configuration is successful, use the new port to connect to the SNMP service.

Example

To change the listening port of the SNMP service to 161, run the following command.

admin:/>change snmp port port_number=161
WARNING: You are about to change the listening port of the SNMP service. This operation may cause the restart of the SNMP service and use the newly configured listening port.
Suggestion: Before you perform this operation, disconnect the network management software and SNMP service. After the configuration is successful, use the new port to connect to SNMP service.
