create vm_template general


The create vm_template general command is used to create a template for a virtual machine (VM) system disk.


create vm_template general vm_id=? name=?





vm_id=? ID of the VM to be used for creating template.

To obtain the value, run the "show virtual_machine general" command without parameters.

name=? Name of the virtual machine template file to be generated.

The value contains 5 to 63 characters, including letters, digits, hyphens (-), underscores (_), and periods (.), cannot start with a period (.), and must end with file name extension .img.



Usage Guidelines

Only OceanStor 5300 V3 (32 GB memory), 5500 V3 (48 GB/64 GB memory), 5600 V3 (64 GB/128 GB memory), and 5800 V3 (128 GB/256 GB memory) support this command.


Create a template for virtual machine 1 named 345.img.

admin:/>create vm_template general vm_id=1 name=345.img
Command send successfully.
