remove lun_copy remote_target

remove lun_copy remote_target

The remove lun_copy remote_target command is used to remove remote target logical unit numbers (LUNs) from a LUN copy task, where the employed remote storage systems must be from Huawei.

remove lun_copy remote_target lun_copy_id=? target_array_id=? target_lun_id=?

lun_copy_id=? ID of a LUN copy.

To obtain the value, run "show lun_copy general".

target_array_id=? ID of remote device.

To obtain the value, run "show remote_device general".

target_lun_id=? ID of a remote LUN.

To obtain the value, run "show lun_copy member".

Usage Guidelines

  • The selected LUN copy can not be in the state of copying or paused.
  • A LUN copy must have at least one target LUN.
  • Running this command permanently removes the copy relationship between the selected source and target LUNs.
  • Before running this command, ensure that the selected target LUN is exactly the one you want to remove from the selected LUN copy.
  • If a LUN copy task disrupts due to a failed target LUN, removing the target LUN resumes the LUN copy task.

To remove a remote target LUN from LUN copy "0", where the ID of the remote device on which the target LUN resides is "5" and the target LUN is LUN "2", run the following command:

admin:/>remove lun_copy remote_target lun_copy_id=0 target_array_id=5 target_lun_id=2
DANGER: You are about to remove target LUN from LUN copy. This operation will remove the LUN copy relationship between source LUN and target LUN. This operation cannot be undone.
Suggestion: Before performing this operation, ensure that the selected LUN copy and target LUN are correct.
