Function

The delete user command is used to delete a user or user group. You can delete the users that are no longer required for managing and maintaining the storage system by running this command.

Format

delete user user_name=?

Parameters

user_name=? Name of the user or user group that you want to delete.

To obtain the value, run "show user". Spaces contained in the user name are expressed in "\s".

Usage Guidelines

  • Deleted users and user groups can no longer log in to the storage system.
  • This command can delete the super administrator, administrators, and read-only users.

Example

Deleting user "testuser".

admin:/>delete user user_name=testuser
DANGER: You are about to remove the selected user. After this operation, the user can no longer log in.
Suggestion: Before performing this operation, check whether the user can be removed.
