change lun_copy session


The change lun_copy session command is used to start, pause, continue, or stop LUN copy tasks.


change lun_copy session lun_copy_id=? operation=?





lun_copy_id=? ID of a LUN copy task.

To obtain the value, run "show lun_copy general".

operation=? The action to be performed for a LUN copy task.

The value can be "start", "stop", "pause", or "continue", where:

  • "start": A LUN copy task will be started.
  • "stop": A LUN copy task will be stopped.
  • "pause": A LUN copy task will be paused.
  • "continue": A LUN copy task will be resumed. The progress of a paused LUN copy task will be retained by the storage system.



Usage Guidelines




admin:/>change lun_copy session lun_copy_id=0 operation=start
DANGER: You are about to copy the data from source LUN to target LUN. After this operation, data on the target LUN will be overwritten by the data on the source LUN.
Suggestion: Before performing this operation, ensure that:
1. All services on the source LUN and target LUN have been stopped. If services have not been stopped, data on the target LUN may become unavailable.
2. The information about the LUN copy is correct.
