Function

The remove virtual_machine port command is used to remove a port that has been added to a virtual machine.

Format

remove virtual_machine port vm_id=? vm_port_id=?

Usage Guidelines

Only OceanStor 5300 V3 (32 GB memory), 5500 V3 (48 GB/64 GB memory), 5600 V3 (64 GB/128 GB memory), and 5800 V3 (128 GB/256 GB memory) support this command.

Example

  • Remove a physical port that has been added to a VM.

    admin:/>remove virtual_machine port vm_id=2 vm_port_id=131073
    WARNING: You are about to remove a port from a virtual machine. This operation will interrupt the related communication service on the virtual machine.
    Suggestion:  Before performing this operation, ensure that you have selected the correct virtual machine and port.
    Have you read warning message carefully?(y/n)y
    Are you sure you really want to perform the operation?(y/n)y
    Command executed successfully.
  • Remove a bonding port that has been added to a VM.

    admin:/>remove virtual_machine port vm_id=2 vm_port_id=139009              
    WARNING: You are about to remove a port from a virtual machine. This operation will interrupt the related communication service on the virtual machine.
    Suggestion:  Before performing this operation, ensure that you have selected the correct virtual machine and port.
