Modifying Target Information

The SmartQoS control objects and control indicators can be dynamically adjusted to business need changes, in order to effectively adjust and control the performance of storage system applications.


  1. Log in to DeviceManager.
  2. Choose Provisioning > Resource Performance Tuning > SmartQoS > Traffic Control.
  3. Select the traffic control policy you want to modify and click Properties.

    The Traffic Control Policy Properties dialog box is displayed.

  4. Modify the control parameters of the traffic control policy.
    1. In the Traffic Control Policy Properties dialog box, click the Objective tab.
    2. In the Control Objective, reset the control objects of the policy.

      Supported control objects include Read I/O, Write I/O, and Read/Write I/O.

    3. In the Control Objective area, set the new performance goals that you want this policy to achieve.

      • For an uplink traffic control policy, the system supports Bandwidth and IOPS control indicators.
      • For a downlink traffic control policy, the system supports Bandwidth, IOPS, and Latency control indicators.

  5. Confirm the modification of the traffic control policy.
    1. Click OK.

      The Execution Result message box is displayed, indicating that the operation succeeded.

    2. Click Close.
