Installing a TPM

Installing a TPM

This section describes the precautions and procedure for installing a TPM to a CH225 V3.


Install a TPM in any of the following scenarios:

  • A faulty TPM needs to be replaced.
  • A TPM needs to be replaced with another model.

Figure 8-68 shows the position of the TPM on the CH225 V3.

Data preparation is not required for this operation.


  • Electrostatic discharge (ESD) gloves.
  • M3 Phillips screwdriver.


Spare TPM.


  1. Take the spare TPM out of its ESD bag.
  2. Press the TPM vertically downwards until it seats into the connector on the mainboard. See step (1) in Figure 8-69.

  3. Use the Phillips screwdriver to secure the screws to secure TPM. See step (2) in Figure 8-69.
